Here are the details for the Mercury Transit event at Francis Baily School.

The event will be held on Monday 11th November 2019. Setting up from 11:15 to start viewing at 12:10.

This will be a special event for the school children and members of the Newbury Astronomical Society, not the general public.

The event will be subject to the weather so please check this page before leaving for the event.

The decision to cancel will be made first thing Monday morning.

Use the first map below to take you to Skiiman Drive, Thatcham.

The main entrance to the school is at the end of Skillman Drive but for parking and unloading use the gate on tha A4, see the second map below.

Car parking is available through the large double gates (which will be open from 11:00) on the A4 almost opposite the Texaco Garage.

From the Newbury direction and if the A4 is busy, access may be made easier by driving around the roundabout to appoach the gate on the left side of the road.
